The
company is based in Rome, in the "Teatro Flavio i" (Colosseum cineclub)
in Via Labicana N. 42.
It is in the historical centre of the city, next to the "Fori Imperiali".
You can easily reach it by underground: line A (Manzoni stop)
or line B (Colosseum stop).
The “Teatro Flavio”
promotes culture and is unquestionably a landmark for undergraduates, cinema
students, young actors, artists and art, theatre and cinema amateurs. The
Company also operates in association with many types of schools
creating plays and holding workshops and also by promoting seminars, meetings,
exhibitions, publications and artistic appreciation.
Housed by the "Teatro Flavio" is the film club "Cineclub
Colosseo" that daily offers its members the possibility to follow
the life and production of directors that have made the history of Cinema, in
Italy and abroad ( Fellini, De Sica, Kubrick, Almodovar….. ) These meetings
are often enriched by the presence of special guests of the modern cinema.
There are also very interesting moments
of Cineforum or even art debates and conferences often lead by artistic director
Franco Venturini. All members may use the theatre's spaces for personal photographic
or painting exhibitions or short films, especially if they are about Italian
cinema. The members may also attend workshops on specific aspects of the actors'
training. These subjects are wholly mastered during the "university course".
The Teatro D'Oggi-Cineclub Colosseo is by far one of the most representative
Roman centres of artistic growth that unites "classical" theatre skills
with the most avant-garde researches and experimentations.
This association creates a successful bridge between the academic and the artistic worlds by always encouraging the members' initiatives and promoting development in the theatre, which results in a cultural exchange, which is the soul of the theatre and guarantees its quality and widespread appreciation. The Teatro Flaviocarries out many projects:
